Babbitt B16 is a bearing alloy composed of tin, antimony, copper, and lead. Its typical composition includes approximately 16% tin (Sn), 16% antimony (Sb), 2% copper (Cu), and 66% lead (Pb). This material is known for its wear resistance, ability to withstand elevated temperatures, and excellent anti-friction properties, making it suitable for use in axle and motor bearings of heavy machinery.
